DS-3 LIMESCALE REMOVER FOR DOMESTIC APPLIANCES (2kg)
Fernox DS-3 is used for removing limescale from any type of water heater to restore its efficiency. It is safe to use with steel, stainless steel, cast iron, copper, brass, PVC, ABS rubber polythene and most plastic pipework.
Limitations: It should not be used with thin gauge or badly corroded aluminium, zinc, galvanised steel, acrylic (e.g. plastic kettles and baths) chromium plated or enamelled surfaces (e.g. baths), concrete and asbestos.

DS-40 DESCALER AND CLEANSER
Fernox DS-40 is a powerful descaler and sludge remover for cleansing domestic central heating systems and eliminating boiler noise. DS-40 is only recommended for whole system cleansing where the system is known to be sound.
If there has been a history of leaks, or weaknesses are suspected, usually on older installations, Fernox Heavy Duty Restorer (Superfloc) should be used.
Separate boiler de-scaling with DS-40 can be carried out safely on systems of any age following whole system cleansing with Heavy Duty Restorer (Superfloc).

Fernox Electrolytic Scale Reducer at PlumbNation is an in-line scale reducer from Fernox which prevents the build up of scale using electrolytic principles. The Fernox Electrolytic Scale Reducer is not a water softener but it induces coagulation whilst the water hardness remains unchanged.
The Fernox Electrolytic Scale Reducer works in the same way as a small battery, where the copper body (cathode) and the internal zinc (anode) are connected via mains water (electrolyte) to alter structure of the hardness salts. Analytical water testing works because the water in the system contains all the information required for diagnosis of the most common problems. The Fernox laboratory will carry out a full analysis of the system water as part of the Postal Sampling Service, establishing the root of the problem and prescribing the correct Fernox treatment.
