Fernox Magnetic Scale Reducer at PlumbNation is an in-line scale reducer from Fernox which prevents the build up of scale using magnetic principles. The Fernox Magnetic Scale Reducer is not a water softener but it induces coagulation whilst the water hardness remains unchanged.
In areas where irritating hard scale deposits form in the shower head or on the kettle element, Magnetic Scale Reducers work as a water conditioner. Any scale that does form will be less tenacious and more easily removed.
The Fernox Magnetic Scale Reducer is connected directly onto 15mm pipe work and uses compression fittings. In domestic usage the Fernox Magnetic Scale Reducer will provide single appliance protection and takes immediate effect. It also holds a guarantee of 12 months, and has a life expectancy of approximately 10 years.
Can be installed horizontally or vertically and is classified non-hazardous, but magnets may affect or interfere with sensitive mechanical and electronic instruments such as heart pace maker, computers and magnetic media and watches. Always keep magnets at least 300mm (1 foot) away from such devices.
