I needed to remove the very functional, ribbed plastic grip rails ( as often supplied by social work departments) for a wet room for something more stylish. I bought this as an additional grab rail for Mum's walk in shower. It matches the design of the existing two (now discontinued) although ugh it's diameter is 32mm compared to 25mm. The fixing plates make it very secure although ugh there is a slight gap between the round covers and the rail.

It'd sturdy and the mitred ends are quite smart but be aware that the diameter is 32mm which makes it look quite chunky with a 30cm length.
